About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Scheduler with a strong background in large-scale construction or energy projects to join our team. The Scheduler will be responsible for developing, managing, and reporting on complex project schedules, ensuring alignment with project budgets, deliverables, and milestones. This role requires deep expertise in Primavera P6 and proven ability to package and present projects to executive stakeholders, partners, and clients.
This is an onsite position, and candidates must be located in the San Diego County region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6
- Establish schedule logic, activity durations, dependencies, and resource assignments.
- Collaborate with project manager, engineers, and vendors to accurately forecast progress and risks for large scale facilities.
- Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into the master schedule.
- Manage and report against baseline schedules; perform variance, critical path, and risk analysis.
- Support short-term look-ahead planning, schedule recovery plans, and mitigation strategies.
- Analyze design changes, change orders, and resource adjustments for schedule impacts.
- Provide recommendations to leadership on maintaining schedule integrity and meeting milestones.
- Contribute to proposal and funding submissions with schedule development and supporting data.
Requirements
5+ years of proven scheduling experience in construction, energy, aerospace, oil & gas, or defense projects.Demonstrated success managing projects $20M+ in value from start to finish.Expert in Primavera P6 ; P6 certification strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (degree strongly preferred).Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) , cost / resource loading, and schedule forecasting.Familiarity with DOE / DoD project controls standards, FAR compliance, or similar regulatory frameworks preferred.Ability to perform schedule risk analysis and prepare recovery / mitigation plans.Skilled in creating clear executive-level presentations and reports.Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, operations, and executive teams.Skilled at preparing polished reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive and investor audiences.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.Must be willing to work onsite at our Solana Beach office.Preferred Qualifications
P6 Certification.Experience in defense contractors, startups, R&D, or advanced energy environments.Familiarity with Oracle Primavera Cloud, MS Project, Excel, and other project controls tools.
