Job Title : Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location : Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM Employment Type : Travel Contract

Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the team at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. This role involves providing respiratory care to patients across various units during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis
  • Operate and maintain ventilators and other respiratory equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate records
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide airway management

    • Qualifications :

  • Current RRT credential from the NBRC
  • Active state license to practice in North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an acute care setting
  • Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NC RRT License (Registry required)
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills

    • Ability to work independently during night shifts

  • Must Have Skills / Experience : 2 yrs preferred, ED, Critical Care

    • Required Education : minimum associate degree in respiratory care

  • Equipment : Ventilators (Servo-I, Drager Evita 500, PB 840, Hamilton T-1 & MR-1), Bipaps (V-60), ResMed CPAPs, High flow (Optiflow), MetaNebs, Vest,     Siemens RapidPoint 500e Blood Gas analyzers
  • EHR : Cerner
