Pain Management Physician Assistant Asheville, North Carolina ($105,000 to $140,000 / year)

Position Overview

We are seeking an Interventional Pain Management Physician Assistant to join a dynamic and growing pain management team in Asheville, North Carolina . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interventional pain procedures, exceptional clinical judgment, and a passion for improving patient outcomes.

This is a full-time, W2, in-person position . The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM

This position will require you to travel to different facilities throughout the city to provide care and support across multiple clinic locations. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the supervising physician with diagnostic and interventional pain management procedures , including injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive treatments

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments , including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician

Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed

Perform pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and provide patient education regarding treatment options and recovery

Manage medication refills , prescription renewals, and coordination of care

Ensure all documentation and charting in the electronic medical record (EMR) system is complete and accurate

Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to care coordination efforts

Adhere to all clinical, legal, and regulatory standards of practice

Maintain a professional demeanor and commitment to patient satisfaction across all facilities

Qualifications

Master s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program

Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in North Carolina

NCCPA certification required

Active DEA certification required (or open to obtaining if not currently active)

2+ years of experience in interventional pain management, anesthesiology, orthopedics, or related field preferred (open to new grads)

Proficiency in performing and assisting with pain management procedures

Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment

Willingness and ability to travel between local facilities

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range : $105,000 to $140,000 per year (based on years of experience)

Bonus Incentive Program : Paid out quarterly, averaging between $25,000 to $30,000 annually

Paid Time Off : 15 days per year, 8 paid holidays, 5 paid CME days, and CME reimbursement
