The role includes providing care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses. Candidates should be flexible with scheduling. The facility has a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. All travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. The nursing staff provides care in a telemetry monitored environment. There is a centralized monitoring department that offers support for patient surveillance. Patient care includes awareness of stroke, renal disorders, and sepsis. Additional duties may involve the management of chest tubes and advanced airway techniques. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in blood product administration and non-invasive airway management. Knowledge and skills in wound care and advanced IV management techniques are necessary. Compliance with all required certifications and competencies is mandatory. All candidates are expected to pass the EKG exam as part of the hiring process.
