Operations Manager – Concrete

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a growing ready mix concrete division for a respected local company. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a results-driven professional with deep industry experience and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of multiple local concrete batching plants

Lead and develop teams including Plant Managers, Drivers, Maintenance, and Support Staff

Manage production schedules, dispatch operations, and inventory planning

Develop and execute strategic plans to support growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

Monitor and manage budgets, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs

Ensure full compliance with safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policies

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred

7+ years of experience in the ready mix concrete or heavy construction industry

Proven success in plant or area operations management

Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

Familiarity with DOT regulations is a plus

Experience in ready mix concrete operations is required
