Be the go-to machinist on second shift
When the floor gets quiet and the machines hum, that’s when you shine. As our second-shift CNC expert, you’ll set up and run both mills and lathes in a clean, well-lit manufacturing space, producing precise parts and keeping production moving.
What a typical evening looks like
- Kick off your shift reviewing prints and work instructions, translating specs into accurate setups.
- Operate CNC mills (3–4 axis VMC) and CNC lathes (2–4 axis) to machine components to blueprint requirements.
- Use approved gages and tools to perform in-process inspections; adjust offsets to maintain tolerances.
- Complete finishing operations such as deburring to meet quality standards.
- Document work, communicate effectively, and keep your area organized for the next handoff.
