JOB SUMMARY : The Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant is responsible for managing and processing the company’s accounts payable transactions. This role ensures timely and accurate payment to vendors, reconciliation of accounts, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in accordance with company policies.
• Verify accuracy of vendor invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor records.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Assist in month-end closing and accruals related to accounts payable.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong relationships.
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education and experience equivalent to :

Education / Certification :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience :

3 to 6 years of related work experience in general accounting functions.
