Pharmacy Technician – Remote Contact Center

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our client's remote contact center team. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to Medicare Part D members and healthcare providers , addressing inquiries related to pharmacy benefits, coverage determinations, and prior authorization requests. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage tasks under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for members and providers regarding pharmacy benefits and coverage.
  • Manage prior authorization requests from doctors’ offices through fax, mail, email, phone, and electronic PA systems.
  • Respond to member questions regarding their pharmacy benefit and coverage.
  • Work within established timeframes (urgent requests : 24 hours, standard requests : 72 hours).
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all interactions.
  • Work from home in a private, quiet workspace.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience .
  • Flexibility to work an 8.5-hour shift starting between 8 : 00 AM and 9 : 00 PM.
  • Proficiency with computers and office software (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of drug names and drug classes .
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional communication.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
  • Adaptable and willing to embrace change in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Call center or remote customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of CMS regulations and Medicare Part D programs.
  • Education / Certifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CPhT certification preferred (Certified Pharmacy Technician)
