The Role

This benchmark code is intended for job classifications that have supervisory / management responsibilities over more than one unrelated and significant job family. (Examples : Architectural, Real Estate, Service Contracts & Capacity Planning). This role will provide leadership and strategic direction for architectural design oversight, real estate portfolio management, and long range capacity planning within Facilities. The individual will serve as the primary technical and financial integrator for Facilities projects ensuring alignment with the Newport News Shipbuilding objectives. This includes oversight on projects from concept through closeout, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality requirements are met.

Must Have

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive professional and / or supervisory work experience; Masters Degree and 4 years of relevant experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications :

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
• Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
• Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
• High School / GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
• High School / GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
