POSITION SUMMARY

The Prime Technician will prepare each apparatus for paint. They will prepare and clean the cab, apply primer coat, and sand the cab for paint. Also, they will complete tasks in each position within the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values. The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

• Sand and prep cab to be primed (sand, mask off, clean with wax / grease remover, and remove dust with tack cloth).
• Mix and spray primer on cab using a pressure pot.
• Inspect cab for defects.
• Sand primer to prepare for paint.
• Seam seal required areas.
• Inspect cab and document in build book to ensure cab is ready for paint.
• Maintain booth and equipment.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
