Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Level 2 Network Engineer for our client. This role is responsible for triaging and resolving escalated network incidents, implementing standard network changes, and maintaining system performance within established SLAs. Duties include performing root-cause analysis, managing firewall and router configurations, supporting VPNs and VLANs, conducting equipment maintenance, and providing on-site “Smart Hands” assistance in the data center.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Triage and resolve escalated network incidents (performance, connectivity, security events) within SLA; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Implement and validate standard changes : switch / router configs, ACLs, VPNs, VLANs, QoS, wireless, load balancing, and firewall rules following change-control.
• Maintain and improve monitoring / alerting and capacity baselines; perform routine patching and upgrades on supported network platforms.
• Provide “Smart Hands” support in the data center : racking / cabling, power cycles, device swaps, loopbacks, and onsite validation for remote engineers.
• Create / update runbooks, diagrams, and post-incident reports; contribute to knowledge articles for Tier 1 / Service Desk handoffs.
• Partner with Tier 3 on project work (migrations, new site turn-ups, cloud connectivity) and on hardening / standardization initiatives.
• Participate in a shift / on-call rotation to support a 24×7×365 NOC
