The Idaho Youth Ranch has been helping good kids on a dangerous path find promising futures for more than 60 years, with youth programs and services through the state. We offer emergency shelter, residential care, substance abuse treatment, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more for at-risk kids and their struggling parents and families. Our work adapts to meet each child's needs, with a focus on early intervention, treating the whole child, and following through as long as needed. Our mission is supported by generous donations and a statewide network of thrift stores.

As a volunteer, you will be part of a team that is committed to the mission and values of the Idaho Youth Ranch.

Who are we looking for

You're a natural with people, friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. You thrive in a customer-focused environment and have a keen eye for discerning colors and a flair for organizing displays. You are excited to join our store team and contribute to delivering exceptional service and a visually appealing experience at our thrift stores.

What Will You Be Doing

• Support staff with routine product rotations to keep inventory fresh, including rolling carts, placing product on the floor, and pulling items.
• Assist in collecting and categorizing donations.
• Enhance customer service by warmly greeting and assisting shoppers.
• Apply expertise in categories such as home goods, clothing, shoes, accessories, or books to assist with pricing.
• Ensure shelves and racks are clean, organized, and visually appealing.
