NIC an Element Company is searching for Level II MT / VT- Nuclear Inspectors at our greater Providence, RI facility. Nuclear Inspectors are responsible for verifying the structure, systems, and components built to support the nuclear reactor of the submarine meet the requirements and standards set to ensure safe operation by our sailors serving to help protect our freedom.
Nuclear inspectors perform non-destructive testing (NDT) MT and VT of welds / materials as well as fabrication and installation verifications for nuclear submarines. This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Required :
High school diploma or equivalent
Applicant must be able to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, diagrams, and understand basic layout functions.
Must be available to work all shifts, weekends and extended hours as business needs dictate.
Must be able to obtain a non-destructive test (NDT) inspection certification decided by department need.
Must be willing to learn unfamiliar skills (I.E. pipe, mechanical, electrical, shielding) based on departmental needs
