Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment on its HVTI-Stepdown Unit. This role provides specialized care to cardiac stepdown patients in a fast-paced, world-class healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be clinically strong, adaptable, and capable of working both day and night shifts as needed to meet patient care demands.

Assignment Details

Days : 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM

ECG rhythm recognition test and Safe Medicate assessment – passing score required

Qualifications

Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Stepdown (Cardiac Stepdown preferred) prior to travel

Active Ohio RN license or Compact State License in hand (pending not accepted)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Auto Offer : Yes – contingent on meeting experience and certification requirements

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Holidays : Traveler must work at least every other holiday

Orientation Requirements : ECG rhythm recognition test and Safe Medicate assessment – passing score required

Qualifications

Experience Required : Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Stepdown (Cardiac Stepdown preferred) prior to travel

Progressive Care (PCU) experience preferred but not required

Travel experience acceptable if recent and within specialty

Licensure : Active Ohio RN license or Compact State License in hand (pending not accepted)

Certifications (AHA required) : Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)

Additional Information

Float Requirements : May be required to float within scope to meet hospital needs

Environment : High-acuity cardiac stepdown unit within Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic Institute (HVTI)

Charting System : Epic
