Join our team as a Lead Senior RF Electrical Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing advanced RF systems for cutting-edge radar and communication applications. We are looking for someone with extensive experience who can confidently manage RF system budgets and key performance metrics, while collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure system performance surpasses mission expectations.
Key Responsibilities :
Define and develop innovative RF system architectures specifically for radar and advanced sensing applications.
Derive and maintain comprehensive RF link / system budgets, focusing on gain, noise figure, dynamic range, and spurious performance.
Model and predict essential RF performance parameters such as phase noise, CPCR, CA, and spurious suppression.
Conduct thorough trade studies and system optimizations to balance performance, cost, and timelines effectively.
Lead the integration of Tx / Rx modules, LO generation / distribution, filters, and beamforming subsystems into complete radar systems.
Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, DSP, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system-level alignment.
Perform root cause analysis on system performance issues and propose actionable design changes.
Generate and maintain high-quality documentation including requirements, budgets, analysis reports, and verification plans.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level RF engineers.
Compensation Range : $112,900 - $146,800
This range serves as a guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors such as role responsibilities, location, market dynamics, and the candidate's experience, skills, and education.

Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred).
10+ years of experience in RF system design and analysis, ideally focused on radar or high-performance communications.
In-depth knowledge of RF / microwave theory, including gain, noise, non-linear effects, spurious content, and spectral purity.
Proven experience in deriving and validating system-level RF budgets.
Strong proficiency in simulation tools such as Keysight ADS, MATLAB, HFSS, CST, or similar.
Experience working with phase noise analysis, CPCR, CA, dynamic range, and link margin calculations.
Familiarity with radar system concepts, including waveforms, pulse compression, and Doppler processing.
Strong skills with RF measurement tools (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, phase noise analyzers, power meters).
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to secure and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Skills :
Experience with phased-array architectures and beamforming techniques.
Knowledge of military / aerospace standards and environmental testing protocols.
Excellent communication skills for conducting customer and internal design reviews.
