Within our Diversion Services program is the Forensic Housing and Recovery through Peer Services, better known as our FHARPS team. FHARPS is a forensic housing program that complements our other Diversion Programs – OCRP, FPATH & LINC. They will work to house people involved in the legal system with the goal of reducing recidivism of people cycling in and out of incarceration, working especially with Trueblood class members. FHARPS works closely with Forensic Navigators who are officers of the King County Court system.
Job Description
Our Certified Peer Counselor will serve as an advocate and provide peer support services to individuals in our community who have been deemed not competent to stand trial. This program works closely with the Health Care Authority as well as DSHS Forensic Navigators in regaining control over their own lives and over their own recovery process. The Certified Peer Counselor will model competency in recovery and ongoing coping skills.
