Job descriptionOperates radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images. Prepares patients for radiological procedures and ensures safety compliance. Identifies patient service requirements and gains patient cooperation. Positions patients and adjusts equipment for radiological procedures. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure. Maintains quality of radiographs and processes images. Documents patient care services and exam verifications. Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on radiology equipment. Maintains radiology supplies inventory. Ensures a safe and clean working environment. Maintains professional and technical knowledge through CME and workshops. Completes yearly Age Specific Competency. Contributes to team efforts and performs other relevant duties. Must have relevant radiologic technologist qualifications and licensure as per state requirements.
