Position

The Executive Vice President will serve as the organization's chief executive and strategic leader, responsible for guiding the overall vision, growth, and operational excellence of its nearly 9,000-unit national housing portfolio. This company is a vertically integrated ownership and management firm, one of the nation's largest private equity real estate companies, solely dedicated to social impact.

The Executive Vice President will lead the executive team, oversee all operational functions and business units, and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance to achieve strong financial results and measurable positive social impact

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Establish and execute long-term strategic plans that advance the company’s mission and objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence while integrating the organization’s social impact goals with financial performance.
  • Sponsor strategic initiatives that strengthen the company’s competitive position, reputation, and market leadership.

Business Oversight

  • Lead and integrate all departments required to operate a stand-alone business, including
  • Operations, Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, Compliance, Marketing, Strategy, and Impact.

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment, clear accountability, and high performance across all business units.
  • Drive enterprise-wide initiatives around compliance, risk management, best-in-class reporting, and organizational resilience.
  • Operational Excellence

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service excellence, and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Build operational infrastructure and systems to support rapid growth and performance optimization of the existing housing portfolio as well as due diligence of prospective new investments.
  • Guide the implementation of technology and analytics that improve performance and decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain strong, transparent relationships with Turner Impact Capital and other internal / external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reporting on performance, financials, and target impact metrics.
  • Financial Stewardship

  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and long-range planning for both the company’s operating platform as well as its managed portfolio.
  • Oversee all accounting and financial functions to ensure fiscal responsibility and operational
  • sustainability.

  • Drive initiatives to optimize profitability while preserving mission and values.
  • Organizational Development

  • Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing leadership team.
  • Define clear success metrics and decision-making frameworks that support disciplined
  • execution.

  • Champion a strong company culture grounded in accountability, transparency, and social
  • responsibility.

  • Ensure leadership development, succession planning, and talent growth across all levels of the
  • organization.

  • Capacity to lead multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
  • Qualifications

  • Experience :
  • o 20+ years in senior leadership roles in multifamily real estate, including large- scale affordable / workforce / class B rental housing across multiple markets.

    o Experience leading a stand-alone business or business unit with full P&L ownership.

    o Proven track record of scaling organizations, driving operational innovation and transformation, and delivering strong financial results.

  • Strategic Leadership :
  • o Visionary with the ability to design and execute long-term strategies while driving nearterm operational excellence.

    o Skilled communicator and influencer across a range of internal departments and external stakeholders.

  • Operational Excellence :
  • o Ability to build and scale teams, systems, and processes to manage dynamic portfolios.

    o Data-driven decision-maker; comfortable with dashboards, KPIs, and analytical rigor.

    o Proactive in adopting technology, analytics, and modern operating practices.

  • Financial Expertise :
  • o Deep property-level and business-unit P&L experience, capital strategy, and resource allocation skills with proven NOI growth track record.

  • People Leadership :
  • o Inspiring culture-builder / carrier who builds trust, accountability, and leads by example.

    o Ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent across functions and geographies, with an extensive network of industry professionals at all levels.
