Job description

POSITION SUMMARY :

This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems to meet business needs. This position will be working with cloud computing platforms, virtualization technologies, scripting languages, and many other backend systems; and will be responsible for developing and supporting solutions for end users (related to all end user technologies). This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement security measures, and provide guidance to junior engineers, as well as provide backup resources to the IT service desk as needed. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Design, develop, and implement IT systems and solutions to meet organizational needs.
  • Perform system integration, testing, and validation to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Provide backup support to IT Help Desk team as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or 5 years of work experience in Information Technology (IT) or Information Systems (IS).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are preferred.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure is preferred.

    • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in systems design, development, and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with system integration and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated propensity to be creative, collaborative, proactive, and self-motivated in the execution and completion of assigned accountabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, as an effective team member and with all levels of the organization.
