Job Description :
Agility Engineering and Management is seeking an engineer with 10+ years of construction management and / or resident engineer experience on large steel and concrete bridges in Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in overseeing all on-site bridge construction activities, serve as the client's representative to ensure work complies with design plans and specifications, and manage project schedules and quality control. Key duties involve conducting inspections, reviewing contractor submittals and reports, resolving technical issues, address Request for Information, manage change orders, and maintain project documentation and communication between the client, contractor, and design team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project oversight : Supervise daily construction activities, manage project schedules, and ensure work adheres to approved plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Quality assurance : Conduct regular inspections, review material submittals, and ensure the construction meets quality control requirements.
- Technical liaison : Serve as the primary on-site technical contact, resolving engineering challenges and coordinating with design teams and contractors.
- Documentation and reporting : Prepare daily and progress reports, maintain project records, and manage all correspondence and document control.
- Contract and cost management : Track and process contractor submittals, RFIs, and payment estimates. Review and manage change orders, assessing their impact on cost and schedule.
- Stakeholder communication : Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the client, contractor, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and execution.
- Safety managemen t : Monitor work zone safety and ensure compliance with all relevant safety policies and regulations.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management field. Civil or structural engineering degrees are preferred.Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or ability to transfer license to Texas.10+ years of experience in bridge construction inspection and project management required.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and standards.Proficient in project management software, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Salary :
Minimum expectation should be $150,000 but the final amount depends on qualifications.
