What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting individuals as needed within the shelter environment.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or policy violations.

Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and / or site leadership.

Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter inappropriate behavior and provide reassurance to clients and staff.

Document incidents and complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner as directed by Allied Universal protocols.

Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access within the shelter.

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
