We are a growth-oriented franchisee opening a brand-new, high-potential McAlister's Deli in a prime, Publix-anchored location in Pensacola, FL. We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to be a key leader on our opening team. This is a "player-coach" role, perfect for someone who thrives on the floor, leading by example and ensuring our high standards for service and quality are met on every single shift.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution of daily operations. Your mission will be to :
Be a "Player-Coach" on the Floor : Lead by example during every shift, working alongside the team to model the behaviors of speed, quality, and our "Sweet Tea Charm" hospitality.Handle Complex Decision-Making : Resolve guest complaints, manage employee relations issues, and make operational decisions that exceed shift leader authority, ensuring consistent standards while maintaining team morale and guest satisfaction.Lead Flawless Shifts : Own shift performance and drive operational excellence, ensuring the team is delivering on our high standards for Guest Satisfaction (OSAT), Order Accuracy, and restaurant cleanliness.Support Prime Cost Control : Partner with the GM to manage controllable costs. You will use our data-driven Labor Hour Chart to make smart, real-time staffing decisions and assist in monitoring food inventory to minimize waste.Drive Business Results : Analyze daily / weekly performance data to identify improvement opportunities and partner with the GM on strategic initiatives and process improvements.Develop Your Team : Lead the development of Shift Leaders and hourly team members, creating clear advancement pathways.Champion Our Culture : Be an ambassador for our positive, professional, and high-performance culture, ensuring all guests feel welcome and our team members feel respected and motivated.Who You Are : The Ideal Candidate
An Emerging Leader : You have a proven track record as a high-performing Shift Leader or Assistant Manager in a fast-paced restaurant environment.An Operational Expert : You have a strong understanding of restaurant operations, including cash handling procedures, food safety, and shift management.A People Person : You genuinely enjoy coaching and developing others. You are an excellent communicator who can give clear direction and build positive relationships with your team.Detail-Oriented and Composed : You work well under pressure, can solve problems effectively, and have a strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to service and quality standards.Tech-Savvy : You are comfortable using restaurant technology, including POS systems and scheduling software, to manage your shift effectively.Mandatory Brand Certification : Successful completion of a 5-week, out-of-state Certified Management Program in McComb, MS from October 12 to November 14 is a non-negotiable condition of employment.
