Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg unit night shift position requiring a WV or compact license and strong IV skills.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
  • Night shifts available as 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am
  • Every other weekend required
  • Patient ratios are typically 1 : 5-6
  • Blocked scheduling is available
  • Uses Cerner EMR, prior experience preferred
  • Provides care to adult medical surgical and oncology patients
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required
  • Travel experience is not required for consideration
  • Scrubs not provided; burgundy and / or white scrubs required
  • Expectations for attendance are strict with only 2-3 call offs tolerated per contract
  • Opportunity for contract extension available

  • Active WV or compact RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • ONS chemo / bio certification preferred
  • Minimum one year Med / Surg nursing experience required
  • Proficiency in IV start required
  • Submission must include references and verification of certifications
