American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with BLS and RCDS or RCS certification to work in a high-acuity academic medical center.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Academic level 1 trauma, stroke, and transplant hospital setting with high acuity patientsPerform exams in the echocardiography department including chemical and physical stress tests and bedside examsCaseload of approximately 7-9 patients per day with 1 hour allotted for each examDay shift, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, with a rotational schedule every other week and inclusion of one weekend dayUp to 5 days of on-call duty per monthPart of a team with 5 full-time and 3 PRN sonographersBedside exams are routine in this rolePre-employment OSHA respirator clearance and FIT testing are requiredMust be willing to work 4 out of 8 specified holidays : Halloween, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's DayAll required modules must be completed prior to start; allied modules are approximately 1 hourFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyTravelers cannot work beyond 1 year consecutively and must take a 6 month break to returnRequests for time off must be made with application; additional time off is subject to manager discretionFree onsite parking availableDepartment color is Caribbean blue for scrubs, but it is not required\n \n Requirements\n
