Office Assistant 1
The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for full-time Office Assistant 1 located in Fairbanks, Alaska.
As an Office Assistant 1, you will provide a full range of clerical and receptionist services, playing a vital role in the workflow of the office, which greatly contributes to our mission of strengthening Alaska's families and children. You will perform a range of duties, including data entry, front desk support, filing, and dealing with information requests. You will be providing clerical support to the administrative unit who perform a wide variety of tasks and work together to support a large team of social workers in multiple regions throughout the state.

This position provides a variety of responsibilities in an energetic, professional office environment, working with an experienced administrative team, and is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. Your first 6 months in the agency are probationary and considered a training period, with formal and on-the-job training with your supervisor and your colleagues.

This position is located in the Fairbanks office working as part of the clerical support unit, an integral part of our efficient administrative team.

All positions require valid ID and successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal records check. The successful candidate may be required to attend multiple training courses normally located in Anchorage.
