Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a WA or compact state license and strong emergency nursing skills.
Responsibilities
Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department settingLevel II Trauma Center experience preferred18-bed unit with a staffing ratio of 1 : 4 and approximately 65 visits per dayPatient diagnoses include general ED cases, psychiatric emergencies, chemical dependency, and medical psychFloat to Edmonds and other campuses within the system as neededNight shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00On-call required every other weekendMedication system : PyxisCharting system : EpicPerform specialized procedures including CPAP / BiPAP, chest tube care, rapid sequence intubation, and blood product administrationFirst time travelers are welcome to applyNo self-scheduling allowed for travelers; RTO is approved case by case with limited flexibilityAll travelers must be willing to float to other facilities within the system if neededScrubs may be any professional colorModules must be completed prior to start and annuallyReliable transportation is required, and housing must be secured in advance if applicableRequirements
Active WA RN license or compact state RN license requiredMinimum of 2 years strong recent Emergency Department experience requiredCurrent certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALSAbility to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform IV therapy, and manage ventilated patientsSkilled in trauma care, triage, procedural sedation, central line management, and advanced cardiac monitoringMust be able to provide two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years in a comparable specialtyFormer permanent employees of any Providence facility must have a 3-month separation before being eligibleProof of permanent residence required; must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facilityBenefits
