Job description

Talent Consultants is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Patent (Intellectual Property) Attorney to join our vibrant legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in managing their intellectual property portfolios, with a strong focus on trademarks. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in trademark registration, enforcement, and litigation, as well as a firm understanding of intellectual property law. As a Trademark Attorney, you will play a critical role in guiding clients through the complexities of trademark protection, conducting thorough searches and analyzing results, and advising on strategies for brand protection and enforcement.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on trademark registration, maintenance, and enforcement matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and provide thorough analysis of results.
  • Prepare and file trademark applications and respond to office actions from the USPTO.
  • Patent prosecution involving :
  • Machine learning, AI, RF circuitry, and / or neural networks
  • Hardware or communication software security
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing trademark strategy to protect their intellectual property assets.
  • Represent clients in trademark disputes, including opposition and cancellation proceedings.
  • Stay informed about changes in trademark and intellectual property laws and regulations.
  • Provide client education on best practices for brand protection.
  • Collaborate with other legal team members on broader intellectual property issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active attorney license in the state of practice.
  • Looking for 3- 5 years (only) of experience in trademark law or intellectual property law.
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of trademark registration processes, practices, and case law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in trademark litigation or dispute resolution is preferred.
  • Membership in relevant IP organizations.
