We’re hiring a Senior Tax Manager to lead complex tax engagements, supervise junior staff, and serve as a subject matter expert in tax law. You'll manage high-stakes tax returns, represent clients during audits, and drive process improvements. This role requires a CPA, JD, or LLM and at least 7 years of public accounting experience. Ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to take on both technical and leadership responsibility.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Review and approve complex tax returns and government tax exams
- Act as subject matter expert in tax discipline or industry
- Manage tax return delegation and ensure accurate, timely delivery
- Oversee and represent clients in governmental tax audits
- Mentor and evaluate junior tax staff; lead development programs
- Monitor workflow and billing processes for accuracy and compliance
- Conduct tax software evaluations and suggest improvements
- Support firm growth through networking and industry involvement
Job Requirements
CPA, JD, or LLM requiredBachelor's in Accounting required; Master’s in Taxation is preferred7–10 years in public accounting with increasing complexity2+ years representing clients before tax authorities1+ year supervising tax staffDeep knowledge of current tax lawsExperience with tax prep, research, and planning softwareWillingness to work 55+ hours / week during tax season is preferred40 hours of annual CPE requiredDo Not Apply If you :
