Controller Position

Are you a seasoned accounting professional ready to take the lead in driving financial accuracy, efficiency, and integrity? We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our leadership team and oversee all aspects of our accounting and financial reporting systems. This is a key role, working closely with our Executive and Information Systems Teams to ensure our financial data is reliable, timely, and aligned with the growth of our business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate timely month-end closings.
  • Deliver accurate financial statements and reporting schedules.
  • Oversee and manage annual audits and compliance audits.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts to guide business decisions.
  • Build strong relationships with banks, insurers, sureties, and taxing authorities.
  • Provide daily oversight of accounting systems and processes.
  • Mentor and train staff to ensure best practices and system proficiency.
  • Support users across the company on accounting applications.
  • Act as the go-to resource for accounting and tax questions.
  • Improve processes that increase efficiency, productivity, and data accuracy.
  • Manage accounting services for related companies.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CCIFP certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of construction accounting experience required.
  • Strong technical expertise in budgeting, construction accounting, and federal / state / local taxes.
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct, Timberscan, or similar software.
  • Proven leadership skills with a commitment to business ethics, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

The expected salary range for this role is $135,000$150,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
