Responsibilities :

Coordinates activity and workflow of the perfusion team. Schedules and assigns daily workload of staff team members. Duties include cardiopulmonary bypass, auto transfusion, intra aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion Services. Serves as a professional resource person to team members. Assists with evaluation, staffing and discipline of team members. Qualifications : Education

  • Graduate from an accredited perfusion program required
  • Credentialed by the CHS Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Perfusionist standardized procedures required Experience
  • 2 years of perfusion experience required  Licenses and Certifications
  • CCP - Certified Clinical Perfusionist by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion required
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required Disclaimers :
