Job description

We’re looking for a motivated and adaptable Sales Manager who’s ready to make an impact in the world of newborn screening. In this role, you’ll be driving sales, supporting marketing, and helping us explore new business opportunities—all while working closely with our leadership team. If you enjoy building relationships, translating science into real-world value, and want to be part of a company that’s growing fast, this could be the perfect fit. You’ll report directly to our VP of Newborn Screening / General Manager and play a key role in shaping our future.

Your Key Responsibilities :

Sales

  • Drive and execute sales plans that don’t just hit targets—but aim to exceed them—across our newborn screening solutions.
  • Maintain and extend the current customer portfolio in the US.
  • Identify, contact, and qualify new prospects in public health labs, reference labs, and government agencies involved in newborn screening.
  • Own the full sales cycle : from first conversation and needs assessment to proposals, negotiations, and closing the deal.
  • Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with decision-makers, thought leaders, and influencers in the newborn screening community.
  • Lead engaging product demos, presentations, and technical discussions that highlight the real value of what we offer.
  • Represent us at conferences, trade shows, and industry events—networking with attendees and generating fresh leads.
  • Keep forecasts sharp and pipelines updated, with clear, regular reporting.
  • Stay on top of market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes shaping newborn screening.

Marketing Support

  • Dive into market research to spot trends, gaps, and unmet needs in the newborn screening landscape.
  • Gather insights directly from customers—through interviews, focus groups, or day-to-day conversations—and turn them into actionable learnings.
  • Partner closely with product teams to translate research and customer feedback into strong product requirements and compelling value propositions.
  • Help create thought leadership content (like webinars, articles, or insights) to strengthen our position as experts in the field.
  • Join customer advisory meetings to listen, learn, and build trust.
  • Explore opportunities to collaborate with patient advocacy groups, understanding their needs and supporting their initiatives.
  • Business Development Support

  • Assist in spotting and evaluating strategic partnerships, collaborations, and new business opportunities that expand our reach.
  • Help developing competitive analysis to uncover market gaps and opportunities for differentiation.

Headquartered in the Liège Science Park (Belgium), our facility in the US Research Triangle Park is dedicated to Newborn Screening making lives better for millions of babies.

    Your Qualifications

  • Bachelors / Masters / Ph.D. degree in science, engineering, or health related field, or commensurate experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in diagnostics, public health, or life sciences.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand and convey complex scientific concepts.
  • Experience working with government or public health entities is a plus.
  • Working Conditions

    FLSA Status : Full Time, Exempt.

    Hybrid In-Office / Work from home. Office location in Durham, NC, USA.

    Travel, domestic and international, up to 50% total time
