We are seeking a Compliance specialist to join our property management team. In this role, the Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining compliance with HUD and Low-Income housing Tax credits. The Compliance Specialist will execute effective annual administrative operating cycles, ensuring all regulatory requirements are completed, and liaise with the various governmental agencies, housing authorities, and other stakeholders to maximize economic outcomes, and minimize operational risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor the Special Claims process.
  • Work closely with site staff to ensure all documents required to submit Special Claims are uploaded timely.
  • Work closely with HAP Specialist to prepare and submit all Special Claims submissions.
  • Provide support for all monthly and quarterly EIV reports and logs for all HUD properties.
  • Monitor progress on all discrepancies until final completion is verified.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must have prior Project-Based Section 8 experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience. Special Claims experience is required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) processes required.
  • Two (2) years of affordable housing compliance experience with knowledge of HUD Secure Systems.
  • Experience with Yardi and / or RealPage is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills- written and oral.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience managing people (in multiple locations preferred).
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions.
  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

    Salary Range

    $25—$30 USD
