American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a floating Emergency Department position in Arizona with ACLS and BLS certifications required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Emergency Department of multiple acute care satellite locations across the East ValleyFloating required between various ER campuses with schedule provided in advanceEvening 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requiredPatient ratio is 4 : 1 in the ER with two RNs on staff at satellite sitesVent capable environment; ER staff responsible for lab drawsEMR systems used are Cerner and T-System; experience preferredNo IV team supportFloor-specific orientation providedMain responsibilities include providing emergency nursing care, lab draws, and working in a vent capable settingStrict sterile technique and competency in Foley catheter and port-a-cath insertion requiredPass / fail SIM skills lab and Relias exam required on Day 1 with two allowed attemptsFailure of the Relias or SIM skills lab results in a 6-month disqualification for this health systemRequired to wear galaxy blue scrubsNo holiday time off allowed during contractAll shifts and floating locations scheduled in advanceNot eligible for candidates residing within 50 miles of facility locations\n \n Requirements\n
Active AZ or compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to considerationMinimum 2 years of recent ER nursing experience requiredCurrent certifications : BLS and ACLS required; TNCC preferredCOVID vaccination required with ability to provide declination for medical or religious reasonsCandidates must pass a dysrhythmia exam and a pass / fail SIM Lab on the first day of orientationMust provide a copy of driver’s licenseTwo professional references required : one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 yearsMay not have been directly employed by CommonSpirit facilities (including CHI and Dignity) within the past year\n Benefits\n
