About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Must-Have : RN's must pass an open book exam on skills learned during orientation.

Description :

Unit focuses on hourly rounding and bedside shift report.

Candidates should be flexible and self-directed.

The primary patient population includes individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Candidates must be willing to learn and adapt to change.

Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.

A driver's license is required for submission.

Each shift has a charge nurse who does take an assignment.

There are nurse aides and patient care techs on the unit with a ratio of 1 : 10.

Monitor techs are available in specific areas while RNs are responsible for patient monitoring in general.

RNs are not required to titrate drips.

Weekend work is required every third weekend.

RTO must be provided upfront, and additional requests will not be approved.

The unit serves a varied population with common diagnoses including total knees, total hips, and post-operative care.

This position involves working with patients dealing with various conditions including COPD, diabetes, and acute respiratory distress.

Proper dress code includes navy blue scrubs.

Self-scheduling is practiced for shifts.

Candidates should be prepared to float to other units as needed.

Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for the assignment duration.

Charting system utilized is EPIC.

This is an acute care setting with a trauma level of 3.
