Join the Ecolab team at the Joliet, IL chemical manufacturing plant as a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer . In this role, you will support and transform the chemical manufacturing culture to be more efficient and effective, implementing processes and tools using Total Production Management (TPM) strategies.

What You Will Do

• Provide engineering and technical support for manufacturing and maintenance in troubleshooting, rebuilding, and repairing electrical equipment and automated systems using digital multimeters and other electrical tools.
• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing operations through designing, selecting, and installing new equipment and systems, as well as improving existing equipment.
• Enhance processes, procedures, and equipment to maximize reliability.
• Implement PLC / HMI programming enhancements to improve production reliability, reduce electrical energy costs, decrease cycle times, and increase productivity.
• Troubleshoot networking and server issues.
• Create and maintain documentation of equipment and systems.
• Coordinate team responsibilities across departments to achieve safety, production, equipment, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Participate in the production process team, applying LEAN principles to improve productivity.
• Develop architecture, PLC logic, and HMI interfaces for production equipment.
• Manage projects including operational specifications, schematics, PLC programming, installation, commissioning, and validation.
• Design and specify control systems for machines, gauges, HMI, and data collection, following company standards.
• Train reliability technicians and develop standard operating procedures.
• Support capital projects with electrical, instrumentation, and control system needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $98,600 - $148,000, depending on experience and other factors. Ecolab offers comprehensive, market-competitive benefits.
