Position Title : Student Employee, Copy Editor - Blazer

Department : Dean of Students

Division : Student Development

Reports to : Bob Marcink

Classification : Non-exempt

Minimum pay rate : $15.00 per hour

(Position is FWS Eligible)

Responsibilities

• Edit stories for errors and style.
• Understand and apply Associated Press style to all written works.
• Work with co-editors as needed during production week.
• Work with co-editors to ensure accuracy and fairness of stories.
• Write a minimum of one story per issue.

This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. During summer and holiday breaks (Winter / Spring), may work up to 28 hours per week with supervisor approval.
