Description
This position would be based in-office in Somerset, PA during the initial training period. After the training period has been successfully completed, the position will be based in-office in Uniontown, PA.
SUMMARY
Analyze financial information for large commercial customers to estimate the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to businesses or individuals by performing the following duties. This position would require the ability to write in a professional manner and to explain the movements and trends in a borrower's financials. This position would require 3 to 5 years working as an Assistant Credit Analyst or the equivalent experience outside Somerset Trust Company. This position would require the employee to work independently without assistance on large commercial loan requests and the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel on a daily basis without assistance.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university and two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and / or board of directors.
BUSINESS WRITING SKILLS : Ability to convert financial reports and statements in various forms into concise business terminology.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc. The ability to understand terminology disclosed in accountant prepared financial statements as related to GAAP.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
