POSITION SUMMARY :
Manage the operations of an Akin child and family counseling program. Provide clinical supervision, program management, quality assurance, monitoring of program outcomes and clinical services to consumers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Management
- Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to program / department staff
- Ensures that all records and statistics are appropriately maintained
- Organizes and ensures appropriate operations of program / department systems
- Develops and ensures implementation of program development, evaluation, and public relations plan
- Holds fiscal responsibility for creating and managing program / department budget
- Monitors all funding and other contracts for compliance, concerns, and opportunities and informs the Community Director / Core Service Director of any pertinent information
- Assures proper maintenance of electronic record keeping
Administration / Planning
Participates in community administrative activities : i.e., management meetings, community budget preparationParticipates in and responds to the community strategic planning processSupervision
Hires and supervises all program staffMaintains regular supervisory meetings with assigned program staff to review consumer’s cases and work assignmentsMaintains a working knowledge of activities for all consumersProvides an annual evaluation of appropriate staff and makes personnel recommendations to the Community DirectorDirect Services
May provide a variety of direct services to consumersPromotes program activities and increases program visibility through community, state, and national activitiesMay participate in coordinated research projects with other appropriate professionals and groups, as individually approvedMay provide on-call services as neededClinical Responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field plus a minimum 5 years clinical and administrative experience, and must possess one of the following licenses : Social Worker, Independent Social Worker (offer private practice), Marriage and Family Therapist, or Mental Health Counselor. Requires specialized training in management, administration, and / or planning2 years demonstrated supervisory experience, which reflects progressive responsibilities in hiring, firing, training, performance evaluations, conflict resolution and disciplinary counselingExperience working directly with children, youth, and family programs. Clinical programs require experience working directly with children, youth, and families implementing treatment interventions using a variety of clinical principles, and must show skill in complex clinical assessments and diagnosisExperience and skill in community organizing and community liaisonMay require specialized training in management, administration, and / or planningSuccessful completion of a criminal background checkA valid driver’s license and a favorable driving record, with no more than three violations within the past three yearsSALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS :

The target starting pay for this position is $86,382-$95,014, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
