Job Description

This entry level role coordinates and assists with pre-bid activities on the project level including preparing project folders and files, updating bid logs, and supporting the estimating staff as needed. This position will assist with on screen take-off duties as time allows to grow into an Estimator role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Timely response to inquiries, both internal and external
  • Data entry of project details
  • Preparing project files – both hard copy and electronic
  • Maintain staging area for projects
  • Keep equipment in good working condition and stocked with necessary items
  • Record retention and storage

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong communication skills with active listening abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and effective organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team as appropriate
  • Ideal candidate will be a self-motivated learner and teacher
  • Must possess a sense of urgency in completing tasks
  • Understanding of need for confidentiality regarding projects and customers
  • Aptitude for reading construction blueprints is a plus but will train as needed

    • EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates degree or technical training in related field preferred
