Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center of Tupelo is searching for a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant who can handle working in a fast-paced clinic environment with a positive attitude and a strong desire for efficiency. This position will provide high-quality care to patients seen within the clinic, under the direct supervision of a physician and / or nurse practitioner.

Job duties include, but are not limited to :

• Prepares medicines according to physician request
• Maintains competency in specific area of practice
• Performs dressing changes and staple / suture removal
• Records appropriate clinical notes and maintains patients’ records
• Schedule and pre-certify patient surgeries and procedures
• Effectively communicate with patients
• Other clinical duties as required
