This role plays a critical part in supporting patients by guiding them through financial processes related to their care. You will work in a dynamic clinical environment, ensuring patients understand their insurance benefits, coverage levels, and available financial assistance programs.

Job Description

As a Patient Financial Advocate, you will :

• Conduct thorough financial screenings for patients.
• Serve as the primary resource for patient education on insurance benefits, coverage, billing, and collections.
• Ensure accounts are cleared for billing and obtain insurance authorizations for services.
• Secure payment arrangements, including collecting co-payments and coinsurance prior to discharge or major outpatient services.
• Identify alternative payment sources, assist with Financial Assistance programs, and initiate Medical Assistance applications.
• Provide accurate cost estimates to patients.
