We’re currently looking for a Part-Time Nanny in Long Beach, California 90815

A lovely family near Los Altos in Long Beach is seeking a Part Time Nanny for their six year old daughter. Care would be needed Monday through Friday from 5 : 00pm until 8 : 00pm, assisting with after-school transport and activities, and evening childcare.

The ideal candidate would be flexible, patient, and excited to engage in the child’s interests.

Schedule :

  • Monday-Friday : 5 : 00pm to 8 : 00pm
  • Occasional morning availability a plus but not required

Start date : Mid to late October

End date : Long-term

Rate : $30 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Safely pick up the child from school at the designated time
  • Drive the child home or to scheduled after-school activities
  • Prepare and serve light snacks or meals as needed
  • Assist with homework
  • Plan and engage in age-appropriate play, games, reading, or creative activities
  • Assist with bedtime routines as set by the parents

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of paid professional experience OR Minimum of 2 years paid professional childcare with teaching degree (completed or in progress)
  • CPR certified, or willingness to become certified
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, clean driving record, and proof of driver’s insurance
  • Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
  • Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
  • Comfortable with friendly, medium-size dog in the home

    • Compensation

    This position pays $30 per hour, and the family is looking for 15 hours of care per week.
