A Day in the Life :
As the Director of Portfolio Strategy and Planning at Monster Energy, you'll take the helm in crafting the strategic vision for Monster Energy's brand portfolio. You'll identify new growth opportunities, drive innovation, and streamline product offerings to ensure strategic alignment with company goals. By working cross-functionally, you'll ensure our goals are in sync with the company's objectives, leveraging data-driven insights and strategic foresight to propel Monster Energy toward sustained business success.
The Impact You'll Make :
- Support the development and execution of the portfolio strategy roadmap. Partner with cross-functional leaders to maintain and evolve the long-term portfolio strategy by providing analytical support, cross-functional coordination, and insight-driven recommendations that align with company objectives.
- Identify and evaluate white space and growth opportunities. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and category dynamics to uncover new areas for innovation and expansion.
- Guide innovation prioritization and rationalization. Use performance data and insights to recommend which SKUs or brands to invest in or sunset, ensuring a focused and efficient portfolio.
- Translate portfolio strategy into commercialization plans. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement go to-market strategies that bring portfolio priorities to life and drive business results.
- Conduct ongoing competitive and whitespace analysis. Monitor the external landscape to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive edge.
- Lead quarterly portfolio reviews and strategic updates. Present portfolio performance and strategic recommendations to leadership to drive alignment and decision-making.
- Own business case development and review for innovation and rationalization. Build and present data-driven business cases to support new product launches and portfolio optimization efforts.
Who You Are :
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Finance, Business, Economics, or related field of study.Additional Experience Desired : More than 5 years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), beverage industryAdditional Experience Desired : More than 5 years of experience in managing very large project portfolios with a breadth of projectsComputer Skills Desired : Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.Requires experience with data sources i.e. Nielsen, Mintel, Competitive IntelAdditional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role : Requires knack for innovation, trends, new news and ability to keep up with moving times. Strong verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills effective across a broad range of audiences. Excellent at managing time, expenses and prioritiesMonster Energy provides a competitive total compensation; this position has an annual estimated salary of $145,200-$220,000. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
