    Position Overview :

    As a Production Applications Technician, you will be responsible for the final stage of CNC machine commissioning, ensuring every CNC router we ship is reliable, accurate, and customized to customer requirements. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring expertise in software configuration, mechanical setup, troubleshooting, and customer support.

    You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites for installations, training, and technical support, acting as an ambassador for C.R. Onsrud.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Assemble, setup, troubleshoot, and repair CNC routers.
  • Utilize electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve issues pre- and post-assembly.
  • Perform CNC router setup : axis zero positions, limits, tool change positions, and parameters.
  • Operate CNC routers and train colleagues / customers on best practices.
  • Customize machines to meet specific customer requirements.
  • Diagnose potential mechanical or control issues through part analysis.
  • Verify machines meet contractual specifications by reviewing orders and scope of work.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation, training, and commissioning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications : Required :

  • CNC router mechanical and functional knowledge
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical & electrical)
  • Controls knowledge (FANUC)
  • CAD / CAM software troubleshooting experience
  • Full set of electrical & mechanical tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

    • Preferred :

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Electrical or Mechanical certifications
  • Current valid passport or Real ID
