We are looking for a dedicated Loan Administrator / Banker to join our team in San Jose, California.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the preparation, processing, and closing of consumer, mortgage, and small business loans.
- Review loan documentation for accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor loan files to ensure timely follow-ups, renewals, and disbursements.
- Maintain and update loan records in the core banking system.
- Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, and legal teams during the approval and funding processes.
- Handle post-closing tasks, including file audits, document imaging, and collateral tracking.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding loan status and documentation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients regarding banking products and services.
- Open new accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and more.
- Conduct needs-based assessments to offer tailored financial solutions.
- Promote and cross-sell bank products, including loans, credit cards, and investment services.
- Educate customers on digital banking tools and self-service options.
- Ensure compliance with KYC / AML and all applicable banking regulations.
- Handle customer transactions with accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proven experience in cash handling and managing financial transactions.
- Familiarity with retail banking operations and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of banking systems and software is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Willingness to adhere to compliance and security standards.
