Job Summary
/ Basic Function : The Department of History and Humanities at Wheaton College (MA) seeks an experienced educator to teach a survey course in African American History in Spring . The applicant will teach either HIST : African American History to or HIST : African American History : to Present, depending upon their experience and expertise.
The course will be scheduled upon hiring of the successful applicant, but likely will meet twice weekly for 80 minutes (either Monday / Wednesday afternoons or Tuesday / Thursday mornings or afternoons), or thrice weekly for 50 minutes on Monday / Wednesday / Friday mornings. It is expected that the instructor will dedicate one additional hour per week to in-person office hours.
Spring classes run from Wednesday, January 21 to Friday, May 1, with final examinations during the week of May 4–9, and final grades due on Monday, May 11.
