Your Role & Impact

As a Special Education Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with teachers and campus leadership, you will help bring individualized plans to life and celebrate student growth, big and small.

What You'll Do:

• Support students with autism in individual and small-group settings
• Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Help students fully participate in classroom and school activities
• Collaborate with related service providers, including speech, occupational, and physical therapists
• Support behavior management strategies with consistency and care
• Assist with data collection and maintaining student records
• Help create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
• Follow ResponsiveEd policies, procedures, and special education guidelines

Experience with IEPs, ARD processes, individualized instruction, accommodations, and behavior support strategies is helpful, but a heart for students and a desire to learn are just as important.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Educational Aide Certification required or ability to obtain shortly after hire
• Must meet one of the following:
  
  • 48 college credit hours
  • Passing scores on all sections of the THEA
  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Bachelor's degree or Teacher Certification preferred
