Unique Skills :

Azure Databricks Data Engineer Skillset Requirements :

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Azure Databricks
• Deep understanding of Unity Catalog, data lineage, access control, and audit logging, with the ability to enforce enterprise-wide data governance policies.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, cost optimized, fault-tolerant data pipelines using Databricks Workflows, Delta Lake, and Auto Loader, with a focus on modularity and reusability.
• Expertise in writing production-grade Python code for data ingestion, transformation, and export, including use of unit testing, error handling, and logging frameworks.
• Experience securely ingesting data from on-premise databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) using CDC and batch based methodologies by extending existing pipelines or creating new pipelines.
• Ability to implement and manage CI / CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks and workflows using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Databricks Asset Bundles including automated testing and deployment.
• Familiarity with serverless cost models, usage monitoring, and optimization strategies to ensure efficient resource utilization and budget adherence.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 9 years relevant business / technical experience to include five (5) years specific reporting, data analytics, or related technical development / deployment experience. Master's Degree may be used to offset one (1) year of experience; PhD may offset two (2) years of experience. Position Purpose : This is a data and analytics development role within the Gulfstream Business Technology organization for the Enterprise Reporting team. This role directly supports the suite of Gulfstream Enterprise Reporting applications. Responsible for developing requirements, solution development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise reporting solutions.
