Job description

Sr Associate FLSA / False Claims Act Litigation

About the Firm

We are a nationally recognized litigation powerhouse with deep expertise in whistleblower law (False Claims Act), wage & hour (FLSA) class and collective actions, mass torts, high-stakes commercial litigation, and related areas.

We seek a skilled litigator with FLSA / wage & hour and / or False Claims Act (qui tam) experience to join our team. The attorney will lead, develop, and manage complex cases (both individually and in teams) from investigation through motion practice, discovery, settlement negotiation, and trial. We prefer  a candidate that has demonstrated success in federal practice, high-level writing, oral advocacy, and a commitment to public-interest / plaintiff-side litigation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage FLSA collective class actions and wage & hour litigation (e.g., misclassification, unpaid overtime, off-the-clock claims).
  • Intake, investigate, and evaluate potential False Claims Act / qui tam matters.
  • Draft complaints, motions, briefs, discovery requests / responses, expert disclosures, and other pleadings in federal court.
  • Lead depositions, take and defend fact and expert testimony.
  • Negotiate settlements, manage risk, and strategize with senior partners.
  • Oversee discovery procedures, e‑discovery protocols, and case budgets.
  • Mentor junior attorneys, associates, and support staff.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in state and in one or more federal district courts (or ability to obtain).
  • Minimum of 5–8 years (or more) of litigation experience, ideally including FLSA / wage & hour class / collective actions and / or False Claims Act / qui tam litigation.
  • Deep familiarity with federal procedural and substantive law, complex civil litigations, class / collective actions, discovery, motions, and trial practice.
  • Proven track record of success — favorable settlements, trial experience, or significant motion practice.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-stakes cases concurrently.
  • All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
