The Head of Client and Partner Platforms is a member of the leadership team for Wealth Management Digital Services. This position is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of WM dedicated platforms, platform value proposition, ongoing enhancement, maintenance, and integration with new tools and applications. The role includes developing and managing platform vision and roadmap, budgeting, negotiating with partners and vendors, and authorizing the release of new platform capabilities. It defines and monitors platform maturity goals, service levels and performance metrics while serving as the single point of contact for all platform matters. The Head provides leadership and direction through managers, drives functional strategy, and accounts for division performance and results.

Major Duties

  • Ensure product group teams receive needed support from Enterprise to achieve Wealth Management business initiatives.
  • Understand how team visions and roadmaps affect the broader Wealth Management business.
  • Identify cross‑capability dependencies and align teams toward mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Build lasting relationships with key Wealth Management executive stakeholders, influence decision‑makers, and manage enterprise stakeholders to achieve group objectives.
  • Decide on prioritization of strategic business and risk‑related initiatives with stakeholders.
  • Role‑model mastery of servant leadership, empowering and coaching others, effective collaboration, clear communication, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
  • Facilitate organization‑wide initiatives to develop others’ leadership.
  • Champion adoption of new cross‑organizational tools and processes that significantly improve performance.
  • Maintain real‑time execution dashboards and integrated roadmaps.
  • Monitor vendor innovations relevant to the group and ensure minimal, efficient meetings for effective collaboration.
  • Support risk and compliance optimization.

Experience

  • 15+ years of product management expertise.
  • Senior leadership experience in digital product delivery or product management.
  • Preferred experience within wealth management or other financial services.
  • Subject matter expertise in onboarding and enrollments, money movement, banking, digital collaboration, and data aggregation.
  • Salary Range

    $171,700 - $300,500 USD

    Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well‑being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
